First Lifeboat Foundation Conference

October 6, 2008 — Along with the Institute for Ethics and Emerging Technologies and the Center for Responsible Nanotechnology, the Lifeboat Foundation is sponsoring Global Catastrophic Risks: Building a Resilient Civilization which will be held November 14, 2008 at the Computer History Museum, Mountain View, California. This conference will precede the futurist mega-gathering Convergence 08, November 15–16 at the same venue.
The Lifeboat Foundation’s Jamais Cascio, James J. Hughes, Mike Treder, and Eliezer Yudkowsky will be participating.
