Basically, Chris Haley is the key person behind getting our Bitcoin
Endowment Fund off the ground plus he was our System Administrator plus
he was always doing things to help move Lifeboat forward. Chris had a
heart of gold! We will miss him.
Carlo D. Montemagno
Lifeboat Foundation mourns the passing of Carlo D. Montemagno who fought
to “Safeguard Humanity” until the end.
Carlo was an American engineer and expert in nanotechnology and
biomedical engineering, focusing on futuristic technologies to create
interdisciplinary solutions for the grand challenges in health, energy,
and the environment.
He was one of the pioneers of bionanotechnology and some of his
fundamental contributions include the development of biomolecular motors
for powering inorganic nanodevices while at Cornell and muscle-driven
self-assembled nanodevices while at UCLA.
