Dr. Sebastian Todor
Sebastian Todor, Ph.D. is working with his wife Jixuan Wang on the YouTube Channel 2 The Future since November 2018, making videos on future technologies, ranging from transportation technologies to biotechnology, with the main focus on human spaceflight.
Sebastian was born in Timișoara, Romania, and moved to Germany at the age of 9. He studied physics at the Technische Universitat Munchen, the technical university of Munich, with a focus on astrophysics and particle physics.
He earned his Ph.D. in theoretical laser physics in 2013 with the thesisNumerical and analytical modeling of Fourier domain mode-locked lasers at theTechnische Universitat Munchen. He earned his Diploma and Master’s Degree of Science in Physics in 2010, at the Munich Technical University as well.
While still at the university, Sebastian worked there as a Wissenschaftlicher Angestellter or Research Fellow for three years between 2008 and 2011.
After his Ph.D., Sebastian worked for 6 years in the industry. In 2012, he started at the BMW Group working as Hydrogen cars Project Manager.
In 2015, Sebastian became a Patent Examiner for the European Patent Office, where he stayed for more than three years. During that time, he became more interested in disruptive technologies, especially because of all the advances with Tesla and SpaceX.
He invested in cryptocurrencies early on, which he also finds highly interesting from a technological viewpoint. He kept his interest and in 2018 started to invest more and actively trade in Bitcoin and Altcoin. He is, as well, doing technical chart analysis in cryptomarkets and long-term trends in blockchain technology which you can follow at his Tradingview profile.
After meeting Jixuan, he gradually re-oriented himself professionally and together they developed the idea to create the YouTube channel 2 The Future dealing with disruptive technologies.
