Professor Rodney C. Hill

Rodney C. Hill, M.Arch. is Presidential Professor, Piper Professor for Teaching Excellence, ING Professor of Excellence, Harold L. Adams Interdisciplinary Professorship in Architecture, Department of Architecture, Texas A&M University.
 
Rodney’s interests include social and behavioral factors in architecture, creativity, and future studies. He is the faculty advisor for the American Institute of Architect Students, the American Creativity Association, the Kappa Sigma Fraternity, and the Entrepreneur Club.
 
He has given presentations at many World Future Conferences including WorldFuture 2009. In 2000, he received the Texas Society of Architects’ Edward J. Romieniec, FAIA, Award in recognition of his contributions to architectural education in Texas. In 2006, he received the David Tanner Champion of Creativity Award at the 2006 American Creativity Association International Conference.
 
Rodney authored Creativity is the Currency of the New Millennium and coauthored Design of a Sustainable House for Residents of a Colonia in South Texas.
 
Rodney earned his B.Arch. at Texas Tech University in 1962 and his M.Arch. at the University of California-Berkeley in 1969.
