Dr. Raffaele Mauro
Raffaele
Mauro, Ph.D.
is Associate at
Annapurna Ventures, a venture capital firm
focused on early stage investments in web services, mobile applications,
and digital technology. He is involved in investment management, deal
sourcing, valuation, and business development.
Previously he worked at Bocconi University, Collegio di Milano, Harvard
Business Review-Italian Edition, and various branches of Confindustria,
developing projects related to innovation, entrepreneurship, and
corporate finance.
Raffaele attended the Singularity University Graduate Studies Program at
NASA Ames in 2011. He obtained a Ph.D at Bocconi University in 2009,
with a dissertation on ICT business history, and graduated with honors
in Economics in 2004.
He was selected to the McKinsey EuroAcademy, the Alma Graduate School
BEST program, the Accade Domani competition and the Global Village
Campus, where he won the Microsoft prize. He is a Mensa member and
in 2010 he was selected as one of the national talents from the Italian
Government at the Festival dei Talenti. He has had research and study
experiences at Peking University, NASA Ames research campus, Harvard
University, Universidad de Cantabria, and LSE.
Raffaele likes to start and scale new projects, he is experienced in
analyzing/synthesizing large amounts of information, working with a
multi-disciplinary approach and communicating effectively to academic,
business, and general audiences.
