Michael Potter, MS
Michael
Potter, MS is Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the
Manna Energy Foundation and Director at
Paradigm Ventures.
He is also Senior Fellow at the
International Institute of Space
Commerce.
He is an
advisor to the Singularity University and director of
Orphans of Apollo.
Formerly Michael was an international
telecommunications
analyst at the Center for Strategic & International Studies (CSIS) in
Washington, D.C. He was also Vice Chairman of the founding Board of
the European Competitive Telecommunications Association (ECTA). He is a
Director of Global Connect. His articles on high technology business and
policy have been widely published.
He earned his MS degree from the London School of Economics and
his BA from California State University at Sacramento. He is an
alumni
of the
Sacramento Semester Program, and earned a certificate in Space Studies
from the
International Space University.
Michael runs a small family investment firm, Paradigm Ventures,
focused on green, sustainable, and high technology projects. Prior to
Paradigm Ventures, he was Vice Chairman, cofounder and President of
Esprit Telecom plc., a pan-European competitive telecommunications
services provider. During his 8 years at Esprit, he grew the company to
1,000 employees in over 9 European countries and to a market
capitalization of a billion US dollars.
