Maximus Peto, MBA
Maximus
Peto, MBA is Founder/CEO at Invivokines and
Biological Researcher at SENS Foundation.
Max studies biochemistry, life-extension, transhumanism, politics,
economics, efficiency, creativity, and heterologous protein expression.
He focuses his effort on
extending the maximum, healthy human lifespan. He was previously an
accountant and college accounting instructor when he decided to do more
to improve the world he lives in, and to encourage others to do the
same.
Max currently leads the OncoSENS project on
alternative lengthening of telomeres
(ALT) at the SENSF
Research Center.
He was recently working on the expression of
A2E-degrading enzymes for the SENS Foundation Research Center’s LysoSENS
project. A2E is
suspected to be the primary cause of age-related macular degeneration, a
disease that occurs when the molecule accumulates in the lysosomes of
retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) cells in the eye. He
optimized growth conditions and media composition for yeast
cultures, expressing and purifying A2E-degrading enzymes, performing
western blots and activity assays, and purifying A2E that he had
previously synthesized.
He authored
Aluminium and iron in humans: bioaccumulation, pathology, and
removal.
Max earned his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at
University of Toledo in 2004.
He earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) at
California State University-Dominguez Hills in 2006.
He earned his B.A. in Biochemistry at the University of Toledo in
2010.
