Dr. Luigi Warren
Luigi Warren,
Ph.D. is President & CEO of Cellular Reprogramming,
a biotechnology company located in La Jolla, California. The company produces
human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) for researchers in academia
and pharma using mRNA reprogramming, a clinically-relevant alternative
to viral reprogramming which Luigi pioneered during postdoctoral
work at Harvard Medical School.
His patents include
Compositions, kits, and methods for making induced pluripotent stem cells using synthetic modified RNAs and
Kit for making induced pluripotent stem cells using modified RNAs.
His papers include
Highly Efficient Reprogramming to Pluripotency and Directed Differentiation of Human Cells with Synthetic Modified mRNA,
Transcription factor profiling in individual hematopoietic progenitors by digital RT-PCR,
Stem cells and aging in the hematopoietic system, and
Transcriptional instability is not a universal attribute of aging.
Luigi earned his BSc in Electronic Engineering with Computer Science
at University College London in 1982. He earned his BSc in Biology
at Columbia University in 2001 and his Ph.D. in Biology at the California
Institute of Technology in 2007.
