Juanita Hardy
Juanita Hardy
is Managing Principal at
Tiger Management Consulting Group.
Juanita established the global business consulting firm Tiger Management
Consulting Group in 2006
after
retiring in 2005 from a 31 year career with IBM, leading large business
transformation initiatives for public and private sector
clients.
She was featured among 13 women in the book,
Montgomery County Women Making It (2011). She is 2010
recipient of
the Washington Business
Journal’s Minority Business Leaders Award. She serves on the Board of
Directors of Women’s Council on Energy and the Environment and was the
first chair of its Advisory Council (2005–2006). She was recently
appointed to the board of the Maryland China Business Council (January
2012).
Juanita’s papers have been featured in
The Roadmap
to 2020 published by Quantum Leaps and sponsored by IBM,
Enterprising Women
magazine, and The Peking University Business Review published by Peking
University, Beijing. She has been featured in Smart CEO and the Gazette
News of Business and Politics. She cofounded the Millennium Arts Salon
in
2000, a Washington, DC based arts organization with the mission to
advance cultural literacy through its art and cultural programming,
which includes salon talks, exhibitions, tours and special
events.
She
serves on several nonprofit art boards, including the University of
Maryland University College Art Advisory Board, Brandywine Workshop in
Philadelphia, The Asian American Cultural Center in New York City, and
(from 2004–2010) Artrain Inc based in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Juanita earned her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and did graduate
work
in Operations Research at George Washington University. She has
participated in numerous IBM education programs, including its
prestigious The President’s Class taught by Harvard Business School.
She
is an alumnus of the University of Maryland Baltimore County ACTiVATE
Program for women entrepreneurs in technology (2006). She holds
certifications through IBM’s Professional Consultant Certification
Program and the Inside-Out Coaching Organization. She was a
professor at IBM’s Executive Consulting Institute in Palisades, New York
where she taught consulting methodologies to principals and consultants
worldwide.
She has been an avid collector of fine art since 1985.
