Jixuan Wang, MSc

Jixuan Wang, MSc is working with her husband Sebastian Todor on the YouTube Channel 2 The Future since November 2018, making videos on future technologies, ranging from transportation technologies to biotechnology, with the main focus on human spaceflight.

Jixuan was born in Beijing, China and moved to Germany at the age of 16. She studied Mathematics at the Technische Universitat Munchen, the technical university of Munich, with a focus on finance mathematics and actuarial science.

She earned her Master’s Degree of Science in Mathematical Finance and Actuarial Science in 2018 with her thesis at BayernLB’s Risk Office on Team Operational Risk Methodology. Jixuan earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics in 2016 from Technische Universität München. Her BSc thesis was titled Goodness-of-fit in the multinomial model.

Jixuan met Sebastian at the university and after, her interest in spaceflight and disruptive technologies was kindled. It has led her to re-orient her interests from finance mathematics, towards future technologies with the most real-life application, such as Hyperloop, air taxis, and electric cars.

Sebastian is as well a cryptocurrency expert, which led her also to become a proponent of cryptocurrencies during that time and became very interested in investing in future technologies.

Prior to her work at YouTube Channel and before she graduated, Jixuan was working as an Intern at Allianz, KPMG, and PwC gaining early experience in auditing.
