Erin Ross, MS
Erin Ross,
MS is Cofounder and Chief Executive Officer of the
NanoAssociation
of Natural Resources and Energy Security (NANRES), an industry
organization
established to address 21st century energy security and natural resource
challenges through the advancement of research, development, and
commercialization of innovative energy and environmental-specific
nanotechnologies in the U.S. marketplace.
Erin works across industry, academia, government, finance, and policy
sectors to actively engage and foster cross-sector innovation between
diverse communities involved in domestic nanotechnology initiatives that
support areas of national priority. She is also a strong advocate for
creating new bipartisan efforts in clean energy and national security
through using technology, and she speaks publicly on issues related to
nanotechnology innovation and technology convergence.
Prior to joining NANRES, Erin served as a Joseph S. Nye Jr. research
intern for the Center for a New American Security (CNAS). During her
tenure
at CNAS, she conducted research in energy security and played an
integral role in the logistical support and execution of a widely
publicized Climate Change War Game.
In addition to her experience in public policy and industry relations,
she has concentrated her research efforts in the areas of exponential
change and senior leadership. These endeavors recently led to the
development of a new leadership model and process systematically designed
to assist leaders in adapting and aligning their leadership capabilities
and strategies to today’s increasingly complex global
environment.
Erin earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Johns
Hopkins
University and her Master’s Degree in Leadership from Georgetown
University’s McDonough School of Business. She currently serves as Board
President of NANRES and as an advisory member to the Johns Hopkins Center
for Leadership Education.
