Clinton “Cosmo”
Mielke, Ph.D. is Founder of Infinome.
Cosmo’s current research interests include the genetic basis of obesity
(specifically in genes that regulate overall metabolism), eating
behavior, and sleep. His Infinome is a nonprofit
organization that uses quantified-self equipment to gather information
in order to identify and cure chronic diseases.

Modeling Predicts a Decreased ADP Affinity and Altered Control of Oxidative Phosphorylation, and
Differential expression of microRNAs as predictors
of glioblastoma phenotypes.
Cosmo was previously Research Associate at Mayo Clinic; Research
Associate at Biodesign Institute, Arizona State University; Analyst at
The Shadowserver Foundation; Staff Researcher at Artificial Intelligence
Lab, The University of Arizona; Software Engineer at NASA Ames Research
Center; Scientist at Steward Observatory; Scientific Programmer at
Arecibo Observatory; and Planetarium Operator at Flandrau Science
Center.
Cosmo earned his Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Astronomy, Physics, and
Mathematics at the University of Arizona in 2007. He earned his
Ph.D. in Biomathematics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology at
the Biodesign Institute / Mayo Clinic in 2013 with the dissertation
