Anthony Di Iorio

Anthony Di Iorio is Founding Member & Executive Director of the Bitcoin Alliance of Canada and Founder of the Toronto Bitcoin Community Meetup.
 
The Bitcoin Alliance of Canada (BAC) is dedicated to raising awareness of bitcoin among Canadian consumers, merchants, businesses, regulators, and policy makers; to promoting bitcoin adoption in Canada; to further Canadian and international study and research in bitcoin and other virtual currencies; and, to promote Canadian participation in international partnerships, associations, and other efforts to promote, study, research, and discuss bitcoin and other virtual currencies.
 
Anthony’s passion is bitcoin community building based on the model of collaboration with independence, adaptation, and coopetition to achieve the results of decentralization with mass acceptance and participation.
 
Before taking on the full-time role with the BAC he was a business owner, investor, entrepreneur, and involved in a variety of technical and creative projects in emerging technology fields primarily centered around digital currencies.
 
He earned his Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Marketing at Ryerson University in 1998.
