Andrew J.
Hacker is a futurist, information technology executive, and
entrepreneur.
Andrew is a bleeding edge technology enthusiast and evangelist. He is
the owner of Prominent Ventures, LLC a company dedicated to finding new
ways to cross-pollinate cutting-edge Internet technologies and finding
new ways to solve old problems. Currently the company is working with a
record label dedicated to providing the highest quality high resolution
audio recordings using Sony’s Direct Stream Digital and next generation
delivery technologies.
Andrew is also an avid futurist and Singularitarian and has been
following the movement for several years now and attempts to incorporate
these concepts into all aspects of personal and business life. He is
a volunteer at the Singularity Institute for Artificial Intelligence.
He has worked for large Information Technology thought leaders and
service providers such as Verizon Business, AT&T, VeriSign, and is
currently Deputy Chief Information Security Officer for the Governor’s
Executive Offices of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Throughout his
career, he has authored insightful editorials appearing in publications
such as Network World, Business Communications Review,
LAN Times, Data Communications, Processor Magazine,
and the Green Sheet.
Andrew graduated from Rutgers University College of Engineering with a
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. He is a member of ISC2
and holds both a Certified Information Systems Security Professional
(CISSP) certification and an Information Systems Security Architecture
Professional (ISSAP) certification.
